Another great conversation yesterday, this time with Clare Dobson from The Policy Key.
I’ve been catching up with Clare over the past year and have been genuinely impressed by the pace and focus she’s built around net zero and cyber security. Recently she joined a panel at the The Labour Party Conference fringe, bringing real-world perspective to how government and business can work together more effectively on delivery of clean power.
Clare spent over two decades inside government shaping national policy on energy security, net zero transition, and cyber resilience. That experience gives her an unusual ability to see how decisions made in Whitehall play out in boardrooms, universities, and across supply chains.
What I love about what she’s building now is how she’s using that experience to help others engage earlier and more intelligently with policy, not waiting for the change to land, but helping shape it before it does.
And her focus on cyber security couldn’t be more timely. Senior leaders can’t afford to treat it as a compliance exercise anymore. The risks sit not just within your own organisation but in every partner you work with, and they’re evolving faster than most realise.
Always great to spend time with people who aren’t just reacting to change but helping to shape what comes next.
